Former Opel chief executive Karl-Thomas Neumann will lead Los Angeles-based electric vehicle start-up Evelozcity.
And in a bold prediction, he says traditional carmakers won’t lead transport developments in the future, FT.com reports.
“I have looked at many options and believe that the traditional carmakers will not be driving the change. Evelozcity reflects my beliefs of what is required and that’s why I joined.”

Neumann will be in charge of finding ways to integrate concepts like blockchain technology into the business.
