EV sharing platform Evee will be crowd charged
Australian-based electric car sharing and rental firm Evee has now launched in New Zealand and plans to move into the United Kingdom and Europe after just announcing a large equity crowdfunding campaign.
Evee says there are limited opportunities in the Australian EV space and it has seen success stories for investors getting behind the likes of Brisbane-founded Tritium on the Nasdaq and Tesla overseas. Homegrown EV investments are few and far between, says Evee of its move.

“We have built such a strong and loyal community, who were there from the start, it felt like the right thing to do, get them in as investors and keep growing the family,” says Evee founder and chief executive Slava Kozlovskii.
The company, which has seen impressive growth during the past few years, is riding the electric wave within Australia, and has been an early adopter with its entirely electric car share platform.
“We are looking to keep up with the huge increase in electric vehicles entering this market, allowing access to a bigger audience and further dampening the environmental impact of owning a car,” says Kozlovskii.
“Our plan is not to just provide the cars but ensure renewable energy to power them is always a part of the equation.”
After launching in 2016, Evee aims to raise capital to fund its business expansion, take on the multinationals entering the space and to support its year-on-year growth.
It has one of the largest EV fleets in Australia, including new models from Tesla, Polestar, Kia, Mercedes and MG.
Expressions of interest are open through Evee’s Birchal campaign page.
