EVs win Best COTY awards

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is the Best Cars of the Year world champion with the electric Nissan Ariya third.

Genesis won the Car Company of the Year title, impressing the international judging panel with an extensive range of luxury models to be rolled out across Europe and the rest of the world in 2023-2024.

“What an honour for Genesis to be awarded Best Car Company of the Year – especially at such an early stage in our journey,” says the Seoul-based company.”

The ID. Buzz Cargo was awarded Best Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) of the Year and the MG4 named “Best Affordable Electric Car of the Year”, while the internal combustion engine (ICE) Toyota GR86 is “Best Affordable Sports Car of the Year” and the overall silver medalist.

The Dacia Duster is Best Bargain Car of the Year and the Citroen AMI the Best Quadricycle of the Year.

Many will feature at The British Motor Show on August 17-20.
