Jacinda Ardern wants an EV.
She spoke to EVtalk at the launch of the Yoogo electric car share scheme in Christchurch. The service provides 100 electric cars, based at more than 10 hubs across the city. It plans to extend to Auckland and beyond.
Two electric road tours combine this month. The Leading the Charge tour, which started in Bluff on March 14, will be joined by two French students travelling the country for seven months in a Jucy electric prototype campervan. They meet in Greymouth on March 18, with the students tagging along for a few days.
Ira Munn is well down the road towards “the Drop” EV made from recycled plastic, which he hopes will help save the planet. He updated progress at an Auckland junior college where students were fascinated by a device Munn calls an “efficiency circuit”.
