EVworld NZ Champions Awards now open

The EVworld NZ Champions Awards nominations are now open.

The awards honour individuals, businesses and communities associated with electric vehicles (EVs).

They will be presented at an evening function on August 9 at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland at the opening of the EVworld NZ event from August 10-11 at the same venue.

Awards categories include Most EV friendly Town of the Year, EV Champion of the Year (individuals only), SME-EV Award of the Year, Fleet Champion of the Year, and the EV Sales & Service Award (organisations only).

Entries must be in by June 11, with judging on July 5 and finalists announced on July 16.

The inaugural awards in 2017 brought about 220 entries.

Conferenz will host the conference and expo, which will be followed by the first EVworld South Island event on November 23-24 at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand in Wigram, Christchurch.

Both events will bring together EV leaders to discuss how to meet the challenges and provide a forum for cross-industry collaboration.
