Flamingo e-scooters in Tauranga from April 1
About 400 Flamingo e-scooters will be launched in Tauranga on Tuesday April 1, 2025.
We’re absolutely thrilled to bring Flamingo to Tauranga,” says Flamingo co-founder and chief executive Jacksen Love.
Flamingo’s Tauranga launch will introduce group rides, allowing customers to unlock up to five scooters at once.
For regular commuters, Flamingo Go Pass subscriptions start at $2.99 daily, offering up to 45 minutes of daily ride time with no unlocking fees.
Riders can get further discounts by ending their trips at designated parking locations marked on the Flamingo map with a blue parking icon.
Large front wheels offer a smooth and stable ride, phone holders and turning indicators are provided, says Flamingo, a Carbon Zero certified company.
“We believe sustainable transport should be accessible to everyone, which is why we offer a Community Discount Plan providing a 50% discount for holders of Community Services Cards, SuperGold Cards, Hāpai Access and Total Mobility Cards,” Flamingo says.
“A Student Discount Plan will also be available for those with a valid Student ID.”
