The personal recreational EV has pontoons instead of conventional landing gear.
Classed as an ultralight aircraft, no special licence is needed to operate it in the US.
Kitty Hawk says it takes only 20 minutes to learn to pilot the Flyer.
No price is provided, only a pre-order link to the official website.
Kitty Hawk is also testing a pilotless flying taxi called Cora in Canterbury, New Zealand, under its Zephyr Airworks brand.
