Geely showcases AI and robotaxi at Beijing Auto Show
Geely Auto Group has made its debut as a direct exhibitor at the Beijing Auto Show, unveiling a range of new technologies and a purpose-built robotaxi prototype.
The company, alongside AFARI Technology and CaoCao Mobility, revealed the EVA Cab robotaxi, described as China’s first purpose-built autonomous ride-hailing vehicle.
The prototype is designed as part of Geely’s “Full-Domain AI 2.0” strategy, combining advances in design, hardware, software and ecosystem integration to support autonomous mobility.
The EVA Cab features wide-opening sliding doors and a face-to-face cabin layout, aimed at maximising interior space, along with design elements intended to create a more passenger-focused experience.
It is equipped with a range of technologies, including what Geely describes as a “quantum-level” electronic and electrical architecture, a 2160-line digital LiDAR system and a mass-production-ready Level 4 assisted driving system.

The vehicle also uses a high-performance computing platform integrating multiple chips, delivering more than 3000 TOPS of computing power to support autonomous driving functions.
Geely plans to launch a CaoCao Mobility version of the EVA Cab in 2027, with the aim of scaling robotaxi services. Pilot operations have already been running in cities including Hangzhou and Suzhou.
Alongside the robotaxi, Geely displayed its broader technology ecosystem, including AI-powered systems, a 900V electric architecture, ultra-fast charging technology, solid-state batteries and intelligent cockpit and driver assistance solutions.
The company says these developments signal its shift into what it describes as an “explosive growth phase” of AI-led vehicle technology, with applications spanning the full vehicle and mobility ecosystem.
Geely says it has been developing its AI capability over several years, including the launch of its Xingrui AI large model and the establishment of an integrated cloud and computing centre to support vehicle intelligence.
The EVA Cab and wider technology showcase highlight Geely’s ambition to expand beyond vehicle manufacturing into a broader intelligent mobility platform.
