Hispano Suiza hypercar for first US client
American car collector Michael Fux has got his exclusive fully electric Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne, built to his own specifications.
Hispano Suiza impressed Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance visitors in Florida on March 3-6, which the brand sponsored, the 27th event geared for classic and collector cars.
A successful entrepreneur, Fux is a car enthusiast and has an extensive collection of sports vehicles, his latest addition being the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne.
It has been painted in “Ocean Song Rose”: a purple tone inspired by Fux’s favourite flower the Ocean Song rose, which he sent from Miami to the brand’s design department.
All bodywork panels are in carbon fibre with a layer of Alutex, the finish combined with Birkigt White colour design details that complete its livery. The distinctive grille with the Hispano Suiza logo is finished in a contrasting high-gloss black. Polished aluminium alloy wheels stand out even more thanks to the accents and the monobloc nuts painted in the same colour as the bodywork.
The interior, covered in high-quality Birkigt White leather, contrasts with the bodywork’s purple tones.
“We are very proud to deliver this unique version of the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne to our first client in the United States, and doing so on the occasion of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance allows us to show the world, and especially the American market, what Hispano Suiza can achieve,” says Hispano Suiza chairman Miguel Suqué Mateu.
Hispano Suiza chief executive Sergio Martinez Campos personally delivered the car to Fux.
More than 225 vehicles and thousands of motoring enthusiasts gathered at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the Amelia Island Golf Club for the Concours d’Elegance.
In addition to the concours, auctions, road tours, forums and different charity events took place during the weekend.
Hispano Suiza is a historic Spanish car brand owned by four generations of the Suqué Mateu family, with the Hispano Suiza Automobile Factory SA founded in Barcelona in 1904 by Damián Mateu.
In 2019, the brand presented the Hispano Suiza Carmen, its new 100% electric “hypercar”, and a year later it revealed the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne of which 24 units will be produced.
