Honda NZ confirms Super-One EV pricing ahead of July launch

Honda New Zealand has confirmed pricing for the Super-One electric vehicle (EV), with the compact city car set to arrive before the end of July 2026.

The Super-One will be offered in two grades locally. The entry-level model is priced at $41,990, while the Kuro Edition carries a $44,990 sticker — a $3,000 premium over the standard variant.

Powertrain and range

Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor producing 70kW and 162Nm of torque, drawing from a 29.6kWh battery. Honda quotes a driving range of 253km under the NEDC testing cycle — a standard that tends to return more optimistic figures than the WLTP cycle more commonly referenced in the New Zealand market.

The Super-One’s compact proportions are reflected throughout its specification. At 3.5 metres in length with a 2.5-metre wheelbase, it sits firmly in the city car segment, and its 1,093kg kerb weight underscores that positioning. Suspension is MacPherson strut at the front and torsion beam at the rear, with ventilated disc brakes up front and drums at the rear.

Ride on 15-inch wheels wrapped in 185-section tyres — among the smallest wheel and tyre combinations available on a new vehicle in New Zealand.

Inside the Super-One

The cabin features a 9-inch infotainment display with built-in Google functionality, paired with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The front seats include a heating function — a practical inclusion for the New Zealand climate.

Kuro Edition

Buyers stepping up to the Kuro Edition gain a two-tone exterior treatment, with a contrasting black roof distinguishing it from the standard model. Where the entry-level Super-One is available in Mono Grey, Crystal Black Pearl, and Boost Violet Pearl, the Kuro Edition is offered exclusively in Boost Violet Pearl with the black roof treatment.

Honda New Zealand has indicated the Super-One will launch before the end of July 2026.
