Hyundai Motor Company has released teaser images of its Ioniq 9.

The three-row, electric SUV has its world premiere in November when details will be released, says Hyundai.

The brand says the ‘9’ symbolises the large vehicle class in its Ioniq lineup and has a spacious and comfortable interior due to its Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

The Ioniq 9’s ‘Aerosthetic’ design is a blend of aerodynamic performance and aesthetic appeal, Hyundai says.

“This model draws inspiration from the sleek exteriors and spacious, cozy interiors of boats.

“Its single-curved roofline, coupled with an elongated wheelbase, ensures ample space for all passengers, including those in the third row.”

The teaser sketches reveal details that enhance Ioniq 9’s overall design quality. Character lines on its side evoke the diagonal lines of the traditional Korean clothing, Hanbok.

Front lamps feature Parametric Pixels, Hyundai Motor’s signature lighting design for Ioniq models.

It also has a multi-spoke wheel design.

Starting October 30 this year, Hyundai says it will be releasing teaser content through its social channels.

Hyundai says it produced its100 millionth vehicle this year – an EV, and that it aims for two million EVs by 2030.
