Hyundai is hosting a digital premiere event for the launch of its Xcient fuel cell heavy duty truck on October 14.
The truck will be the world’s first mass-produced FCEV heavy-duty vehicle, the company says.
Earlier in July, Hyundai shipped the Xcient to customers in Switzerland as part plans to roll out 1600 commercial FCEVs by 2025.
The Xcient is equipped with a 350-bar 32kg hydrogen tank that provides around 400km of driving range with a full trailer in tow.
Fueling time to full charging takes around eight to 20 minutes. The truck also provides various features such as front collision-avoidance assist (FCA), lane departure warning (LDW), smartphone mirroring and wireless charging.
The livestream event will feature leaders of Hyundai’s commercial vehicle business division and fuel cell centre who will introduce the fuel cell truck and their roadmap for clean commercial mobility.
The livestream will be viewable at Hyundai Motor’s official YouTube channel at midday on October 14 (AEDT).
