Hyundai Mighty fuel cell truck in NZ pilot test
Hyundai Motors New Zealand will test a prototype Mighty fuel cell (FCEV) light-duty hydrogen truck for a year to evaluate its performance in the local environment and gain important metrics for future operations.
It has a 90kW fuel cell stack paired with a 65kW electric motor and a 21kWh battery, delivering an average 500km range.
The Mighty FCEV joins Hyundai’s hydrogen-powered vehicle line-up following its Nexo SUV, and XCIENT fuel cell heavy-duty truck.
