Isuzu to preview e-truck platform
Isuzu Australia is bringing in a Japanese production spec of the brand’s recently released global battery electric truck platform.
The N Series EV will make its debut appearance at the Brisbane Truck Show starting May 18.
Isuzu Australia strategy chief Grant Cooper says the local market is “hungry” for zero emissions solutions and this has been a key priority for the brand.
“The model we’ll have on display in Brisbane is the ‘world’ model, coming direct from Japan after its international premiere only a few short weeks ago.
“Understandably, we’re thrilled to be able to receive such a vanguard product here in Australia and formally introduce it to the Australian truck market.”
The N Series EV was launched alongside a full model change of the light-duty N and medium-duty F Series range of trucks in early March, signalling a new era of model line-up under the theme ‘Choose Your Future.’, which signals Isuzu Motors’ approach to achieving its goal of net zero carbon emissions from its commercial vehicle product range by 2050.
The company says a range of different drivetrain technologies will be required to satisfy the many of end user applications across a variety of industries and markets.
Isuzu Trucks NZ is working closely with Isuzu on the new models but has nothing to announce at this point.
