ITS summit attracting global experts

The one-day Intelligent Transportation Systems annual summit at the Aotea Centre in Auckland on October 5, is inviting expert speakers from around the globe as well as locally.
ITS New Zealand is publishing the summit programme online at itsnz.org/its-new-zealand-summit.
It says leading transport decision makers, ITS and transportation technology innovators, suppliers, engineers, and academics are attending the event.
“The summit coincides with the ISO TC204 Standards meeting, and we are fortunate to have confirmed world-leading experts to make presentations and join a panel discussion,” says event organiser Simon McManus.
“In addition we will have senior representatives from the Ministry of Transport, including new NZTA ceo Peter Mersi, and Civil Aviation Authority’s Steve Smyth updating us on their new strategies,” says McManus.
The summit will be addressing topics including connected and autonomous vehicles, big data and smart cities, as well as ITS in freight and public transport.
Sustainability and electric vehicles (EVs), transport safety, cyber security
and the latest trends in research and innovative transportation technology will also be part of the discussion topics.
The list of speakers and the day’s timetable is available at itsnz.org/its-new-zealand-summit
