Jeep Avenger BEV NZ pricing and arrival confirmed
Fifty launch edition models of the Jeep Avenger battery electric vehicle (BEV) are due in New Zealand this December priced from $59,990 driveaway (including the Clean Car Discount rebate).
The Jeep Avenger BEV has a 54kWh battery capable of 400km “Combined Range” (WLTP) and 570km “Extra Urban Range”.
It has a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, seven new colour choices, and collected more than five awards and titles including European Car of the Year 2023.
“The impending arrival of the award winning, all-new BEV Jeep Avenger to New Zealand is very timely and is the right choice for those who are looking for a compact, robust, and stylish SUV that exudes state-of-the-art technology, space, and comfort, while staying true to Jeep design,” says Ateco Group New Zealand Stellantis brands general sales manager Todd Groves.
“All of this while offering the satisfaction of a zero-exhaust emission SUV, which complements Jeep NZs already established clean car position in the industry and will continue to help with New Zealand’s overall goal of decarbonisation.”
The Jeep Avenger BEV spearheads the introduction of a portfolio of fully electric vehicles in a global electrification strategy.
It has six mode Selec-Terrain and Hill Descent Control technology to adapt to any weather conditions and a generous ground clearance.
The Avenger’s energy consumption is 15.4kWh per 100km (WLTP) and it is based on the eCMP2 electric platform to which 600 components have been modified.
Its M3 power unit is a second-generation, highly efficient 400-Volt e-motor and is the first power unit launched by eMotors – the Stellantis joint venture with NIDEC – delivering 115kW power and 260Nm torque.
The standard on-board charger delivers 100kW DC, corresponding to zero to 80% charge in 34 minutes in fast-charging mode, and 11kW AC – corresponding to zero to 100% charge in 5.5 hours when connected to a public station.
The vehicle features18-inch wheels, 360-degree shock protection, encased protected lights and colour-moulded skid plates.
It’s compact at 4.08 metres yet roomy – comfortably fitting five people and luggage (including 34 litres of interior storage and 380 litres total cargo volume).
Rear hatch width has increased to more than a metre and it also has a hands-free power liftgate.
The Jeep Avenger BEV has the latest technology, including a 10.25-inch radio screen Uconnect Infotainment combined with full digital cluster available.
