Leapmotor C10 earns five-star Euro NCAP rating, range extender launched
Euro NCAP awarded the Leapmotor C10 SUV a five-star safety rating in December 2024.
According to Euro NCAP, the Leapmotor brand was founded in 2015, yet it’s already China’s third biggest electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle maker.
Leapmotor, in collaboration with Stellantis, has been targeting the European market. It just launched its range-extender version of the C10 at the Brussels Motor Show.
The C10 REEV combines electric power with a range extender, achieving a total range of over 950 km. CO2 emissions under the WLTP cycle are quoted as low as 10 g/km.
Leapmotor says the REEV technology lets users choose three charging modes: DC, AC, and onboard fuel generator. This flexibility enables electric power from the grid or onboard generated electric power thanks to the 1.5-litre petrol engine.
The C10 REEV offers 65 kW DC fast charging, enabling quick recharges. It is equipped with a 215 HP motor that delivers 320 Nm of torque, ensuring smooth acceleration.
The starting price in Belgium is 37,400 euros. Orders officially opened on January 10th, and deliveries began in March 2025.
