Leapmotor unveils B05 hatch and launches B10 SUV in Europe
Chinese electric carmaker Leapmotor has marked a major step in its global expansion with the world premiere of the B05 sport C-hatchback and the commercial launch of the B10 electric SUV at the IAA show in Munich.
The B05 is a compact hatchback aimed at younger, urban drivers. Its makers say it embodies advanced design, agile handling, intelligent systems and strong build quality. Special features include sleek lines, frameless doors and 19-inch alloys.
Measuring 4430mm long, 1880mm wide and 1520mm high, with a wheelbase of 2735mm, the B05 balances a compact exterior with a generous interior.

Leapmotor chief executive Zhu Jiangming describes the B05 as “a statement,” highlighting the company’s strategy to capture the European compact EV market with a blend of innovation, affordability, and style. The model shares underpinnings with the B10 SUV and can accelerate to 100km/h in 6.8 seconds. It is due to reach European showrooms in the second quarter of next year.
At Munich, Leapmotor also began sales of the B10, which is now available in Europe with deliveries starting this month. The SUV will be rolled out in more than 30 markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and South America.
Inside, the B10 emphasises practicality and comfort, offering one of the largest passenger spaces in its class, with generous rear legroom and headroom, as well as 1400mm of width for rear passengers. Its interior features customisable seating, 22 storage compartments, and a 14.6-inch floating touchscreen. The LEAP OS 4.0 Plus system supports remote access via a mobile app, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to be added via over-the-air updates.

Powering the B10 is a 163kW/240Nm motor, giving an eight-second sprint to 100km/h and a top speed of 170km/h. Two battery options are offered: a 56kWh pack with 361km WLTP range, and a 67kWh pack with up to 434km. Both support 11kW AC charging and up to 168kW DC fast charging, enabling a 30–80 per cent top-up in under 20 minutes.
The chassis, co-developed with Stellantis engineers, features multi-link rear suspension and a 50:50 weight distribution for balanced handling. Safety equipment includes a high-strength steel safety cage, 17 advanced driver assistance functions, and a 360-degree camera system.
The B10 will be available in two trims: the Life version, which comes with a panoramic glass roof, 18-inch alloys and a full ADAS suite; and the Design trim, which adds artificial leather upholstery, ambient lighting and heated, ventilated, power-adjustable front seats.
Leapmotor says the unveiling of the B05 and launch of the B10 highlight its intent to grow in export markets and appeal to young, design-conscious drivers while expanding its global footprint.
