Switzerland-based TERA Technologies aims to ramp up its low-cost EV production in Q4 of 2023 and deliver 55 limited edition MiracleONE vehicles.

Using an up-cycled Citroen platform, the four-seater MiracleONE will include a proprietary range extender which includes up to four small portable batteries, each battery adding about 20km range and weighing nine kilograms for a total 290km range.

The portable batteries can be recharged at work, home, or any location that has an electrical outlet, the company adds.

TERA plans to launch its MiracleTWO model from 2024, aiming to sell online and offline.

“We envision offline sales to be facilitated through car dealerships throughout Europe, ensuring that potential customers can physically experience the vehicle before purchase,” it says.

Founders Yoann Loetscher and Luca Placi believe in a future that integrates mobility and sustainability, having spent more than 10 years in EV transportation.

Their passion for sustainable, affordable transportation began back when they were at university and created a successful electric race car team, which helped them into the EV space.

In 2016, the two became pioneers in micro-mobility when they launched Enuu, a light electric vehicle sharing company, moving more than 15,000 people in Switzerland and Germany across four major cities and making at least 100,000 rides.

The company is tackling urbanisation, climate change, and personal mobility by focusing on size, weight, and speed to create efficient vehicles.

The MiracleONE is expected to cost about US$25,000.

TERA says it has already secured 100,000 euros in future revenue and built two driveable EV prototypes.

The company has also just launched a crowdfunding campaign for its seed raise on Seedrs.

All TERA products use existing platforms and it integrates proprietary EV technology to ensure a short time to market and a capital light research and development, and production, the company adds.

TERA’s vision is a world powered by all EVs by 2035.
