Mevo adds more chargers

Wellington’s on-demand 24/7 car sharing service Mevo will be adding 45 new EV chargers around the city.
That’s in addition to the 21 existing chargers and 11 exclusive Mevo stations.
The extra chargers will mainly be in the city’s CBD; in Te Aro and The Terrace.
New charging infrastructure will also be brought to Wellington Airport, as well as the company’s first destination charging at the Zealandia ecosanctuary (formerly the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary).
The Zealandia parking will be mixed-use, for private EVs to take advantage of too.
“We’re wholly committed to Wellington’s zero-carbon goals, and developing infrastructure to support that,” Mevo co-founder and chief executive officer Erik Zydervelt says.
“In effect, we’re collaborating with forward thinking businesses and local government to co-create the Wellington of tomorrow.”
