MG 4 leads new EV sales

The MG 4 (357 units) was the top new battery electric vehicle (BEV) sold in October, followed by the BYD Atto 3 (246 units) and Nissan Leaf (165 units).

That’s according to the Motor Industry Association (MIA) of New Zealand which adds the top three plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) in October were the Mitsubishi Outlander (235 units), followed by the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (195 units) and Kia Sorento (165 units).

Hybrids featured the Toyota RAV4 (416 units), Toyota Corolla Cross (368 units) and Toyota Yaris Cross (319 units).

October motive power sales listed by MIA include 2093 BEVs (16.2% share), 937 PHEVs (7.2% share), 2891 hybrids (22.3% share) and 7023 internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles (54.3% share).
