A classic car from the 1998 Mini Paul Smith Edition has switched to an electric motor as part of the Mini Recharged project, which celebrates the fusion of tradition with pioneering technology.

The one-off customised Mini by British designer Sir Paul Smith had its world premiere at the Salone del Mobile 2022 in Milan (June 7-12).

“We have made a 1990s car totally relevant for today,” Smith says.

Mini already offers the series-manufactured electric Mini Cooper SE (combined power consumption: 17.6-15.2kWh/100km and the Mini Cooper SE Countryman (15.5-14.8kWh/100km) with plug-in hybrid drive, and is on its way to delivering an all-electric future.
