Nelson e-bike company gets a global award

Hybrid Bikes in Nelson has received the “Most Innovative Leader – E-Bike, New Zealand” accolade at the Global Brands Magazine Awards 2023.

Hybrid Bikes incorporates carbon fibre frames in its e-bike designs and is committed to pushing the boundaries of e-bike technology.

The Global Brands Awards was established with the aim of honouring excellence in performance and rewarding companies across different sectors, including automobiles, finance, education, hospitality, lifestyle, and technology, along with service and performance.

Nominations are accepted for different countries and regions from companies throughout the year across a wide range of categories.

Hybrid Bikes specialises in designing and custom-building bicycles for its customers.

The company was founded in 2018 when Frank Witowski realised the tremendous potential of the prototype he had created for himself and established Hybrid Bikes, using carbon fibre technology to provide lighter, stronger e-bikes with unmatched riding characteristics.

Hybrid Bikes has become one of the most acclaimed e-bike companies in New Zealand, winning prestigious awards such as the “Most Established Business” and the “Supreme Business Award” in 2021, a finalist in the 2022 Sustainable Business Awards (Climate Action Leader category) and the 47th fastest growing business in New Zealand according to the Deloitte’s Fast50 (165% growth) and being compared to some of the world’s biggest e-bike brands.

Hybrid Bikes intends expanding into Europe, waiting for recovery of the global e-bike market before doing so.
