New details about Tesla ute

Tesla ute detailsTesla chief executive officer Elon Musk asked his Twitter followers for suggestions about the company’s planned ute.

And his tweets revealed some details about it.

He says the pickup truck will be standard with dual motor all-wheel drive, “crazy torque,” and a suspension that dynamically adjusts for the load.

The ute would be able to parallel park automatically and have 360-degree cameras and sonar.

Power outlets would allow use of 240-volt high-power tools without needing a generator.

“It will also have a special built-in sensor. Details later,” Musk says.

“What would you love to see in a Tesla pickup truck?” Musk asked. “I have a few things in mind, but what do you think are small, but important nuances & what would be seriously next level?”

Musk has been talking about a pickup truck since at least 2013. In December he said it would arrive after the Model Y, so sometime after 2019, Business Insider Australia

Musk also said in December that the ute would be bigger than the F-150 and that it would have a ‘game-changing’ feature, but didn’t elaborate.
