New Mercedes-Benz eSprinter offers battery options

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter battery electric vehicle (BEV) commercial van offers two battery options – the original 113kWh battery (477km range), and a smaller 81kWh battery (328km range) which can carry up to 1415kg of cargo.

So says GM (General Motors) Authority, adding the refreshed model introduces new features, upgrades and options.

“One of the key changes is the new availability of different battery sizes in combination with an assortment of wheelbase lengths and roof heights, “it says.

“This enables customers to more closely match the 2025 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter unit’s characteristics to the task instead of relying on a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach.”

Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system for the 2025 model year features a 10.25-inch screen and offers access to a voice assistant, Bluetooth smartphone connections, a display of free cargo space, and various other conveniences, says GM Authority, adding that several safety features are standard.

GM Authority says the 2025 eSprinter is due later this year in the US and that GM has put its BrightDrop Zevo 400 and BrightDrop Zevo 600 electric vans back into production after a six-month pause.
