First arrivals will meet initial customer orders for both the Enyaq SUV and coupe models while demonstrator coupes give customers the chance to be among the first to experience a test drive of the lineup addition, says Skoda New Zealand.

The Enyaq coupe is available in a 150kW powertrain with rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and is equipped with an 82kWh battery (net 77kWh) giving about 530km range (WLTP).

Outstanding aerodynamics and a drag coefficient (cd) of 0.234 means the new coupe is even more efficient than the previous Enyaq.

Skoda’s first all-electric coupe can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 8.7 seconds and reach a 160km/h top speed. The RWD model has a towing capacity for a braked trailer weighing up to 1000kg on gradients of up to 12%, says Skoda New Zealand.

The Skoda electric ecosystem and ChargeNet make it possible to use hundreds of charging points across New Zealand with a single RFID tag.

Skoda NZ supports convenient charging at home through its partnership with Kiwi smart EV charger manufacturer and installer Evnex.

The dynamically designed four-door Enyaq coupe’s roofline gently slopes towards the rear from the B-pillar, merging with the tailgate that features a sharp trailing edge. Its dark tinted panoramic glass roof is the largest in the current Skoda portfolio and has plenty of headroom.

Alloy 20-inch wheels and body-coloured side skirts emphasise the car’s sleek appearance, with a sporty front apron providing another unique touch. This variant features the Crystal Face as standard – with 131 LEDs illuminating the Skoda grille’s vertical ribs and horizontal light strip.

The interior is available exclusively in the Sportline black sports styling trim, Suedia-upholstered sports seats with integrated headrests, grey decorative stitching and a three-spoke leather multifunction heated sports steering wheel which includes paddles for selecting various recuperation levels.

The leather-style dashboard and door trim sport model-specific carbon-fibre-effect decorative strips, while the pedal covers feature an aluminium design. Key vehicle functions can be operated intuitively using the 13-inch central infotainment screen.

The 5.3-inch digital cockpit is supplemented by a head-up display.

The MEB platform allows plenty of space, with 570 litres in the boot alone.

Within the full-LED Matrix headlights, each high-beam module features 24 LEDs, which can be controlled individually and enable the driver to have the high beam on at all times without dazzling other road users.

The Enyaq coupe Sportline comes with Matrix technology as well as the top-end full-LED taillights as standard.

It has the highest five-star Euro New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) safety rating (named the safest vehicle in its category) and has up to nine airbags and a myriad of improved driver assistance systems, including collision warnings (pedestrian, cyclist or another vehicle).

The intelligent park assist feature automatically manoeuvres the vehicle into and out of parallel and bay parking spaces – able to brake and detect pedestrians or objects.
