Nikola founder sentenced to prison for fraud
Founder and former chief executive of electric truck start-up Nikola, Trevor Milton, has been sentenced to four years in prison for securities fraud.
The ruling was made in New York on December 18 and follows a guilty verdict made last year.
In addition to the prison sentence, Milton, 41, of Alpine, Wyoming, was sentenced to three years of supervised release, ordered to forfeit a property in Utah, and ordered to pay a fine of $1 million.
