Nissan teases electric mini-van concept

Nissan Motor Company in Japan will unveil the e-NV200 Fridge concept at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.

The e-NV200 Fridge concept is an urban delivery vehicle using an all-electric drivetrain to perform last-mile and run-about delivery work.

Ashwani Gupta, senior vice president of the Renault-Nissan LCV Business Unit says the e-NV200 Fridge Concept will create huge value for commercial users – generating more business, as well as reducing the cost of ownership.

“With zero emissions, it’ll be perfect for busy urban environments where larger vehicles are often prohibited.”

The Fridge at 4.5m long, just 1.75m wide and only 2.1m high. The pint-size hauler has a 24kWh lithium-ion battery powering it, with a 12kWh battery for the refrigeration unit.

The vehicle is not expected to make Australian shores, however could turn up in New Zealand as a parallel import.
