Overseas media report Nissan is planning to release a low-cost Micra electric vehicle based on the same platform as the new Renault 5 EV.

A report by Electrek, quotes Auto Express as saying the Micra EV will be the first of Nissan’s electric line-up.

It says the Renault 5 EV has a range of up to 400km (249 miles) from a 52kWh battery, and the same should be expected from the future production  Micra EV.
