Porsche adds GTS performance to electric Macan line-up

Porsche has unveiled the Macan GTS, a sharper, lower and more powerful variant of its all-electric SUV, promising classic GTS driving engagement with up to 420kW on overboost and bespoke chassis tuning.

The dual-motor GTS shares its rear-axle unit with the Macan Turbo—using a 230mm, 900-amp silicon-carbide pulse inverter—and delivers 380kW in standard form, rising to 420kW and 955Nm via Launch Control. Porsche quotes 0–100km/h in 3.8 seconds, 0–200km/h in 13.3 seconds, and a 250km/h top speed.

A 100kWh battery is claimed to offer up to 586km WLTP range. DC fast-charging peaks at 270kW, with a 10–80 per cent top-up in a stated 21 minutes.

Chassis changes are central to the brief. The Macan GTS rides 10mm lower than other variants and features model-specific air-suspension and PASM calibration, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and an electronically controlled rear diff lock. Weight distribution shifts to 48:52 front-to-rear to preserve a traditional Porsche rear-drive feel, and optional rear-axle steering broadens the handling window. Porsche’s Electric Sport Sound adds GTS-specific profiles in Sport and Sport Plus.

Design tweaks bring black exterior detailing, tinted headlights and widened side skirts. A new Sport Design package—set to roll out across the Macan range in 2026—debuts on the GTS with unique front and rear aprons and a black diffuser. Standard wheels are 21-inch Macan Design in Anthracite Grey, with 22-inch RS Spyder Design optional.

Inside, the GTS gains extended Race-Tex trim, black leather accents and 18-way adaptive sports seats. A GTS Interior Package (Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo or Lugano Blue) coordinates stitching, seatbelts and dash trim; carbon-fibre inlays, a GT Sports steering wheel and GTS-specific digital graphics complete the look.

Tech updates include Porsche Digital Key, an AI-aided Voice Pilot, expanded parking assists, in-car gaming and an increased 2500kg towing capacity.
