Ram has put its production-ready electric 1500 REV in a Super Bowl LVII advertisement dubbed “Premature Electrification”.

The REV appears different to the concept which was at the January Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas and seems to share some parts with the internal combustion engine (ICE) 1500 ute, Stuff reports.

The REV does get special new headlights, an illuminated ‘RAM’ logo in its nose centre, aero-friendly wheels, new L-shaped taillights, a “frunk”, three screens, and other gadgets, Stuff adds.

Ram didn’t confirm any new technical specifications, according to Stuff which points out that from the earlier reveal the Ram REV will have Stellantis’ new STLA Frame architecture, arriving with twin electric motors, all-wheel drive, and an 800V battery system which can charge at up to 350kW.

More information, such as power and range, are expected soon as Ram readies for a 2024 launch, although whether it will come here isn’t yet known.
