Renault E-Space concept takes the Espace back to its people mover roots
Renault's E-Space concept is a six-seat electric people mover with a flat floor and rotating seats. It debuts in Paris on 12 October.
Renault will show an electric people mover concept called the E-Space at the Paris motor show on 12 October. The company says there are currently no plans for production.
The concept takes the Espace name back towards its roots. The original Espace arrived in 1984 and helped establish the MPV as a family car. Later generations moved towards crossover styling, and the current sixth-generation Espace is a large SUV.

The E-Space is 4700mm long, 2020mm wide and 1670mm high, and sits on 23-inch wheels. It has a sharply sloping front and a squared-off rear to maximise interior space, with a low beltline and relatively low ground clearance.
U-shaped light strips run across the front and rear, and an illuminated Renault diamond sits within a pixel-style panel in the nose.
Inside, Renault describes six identical individual seats in three rows on a completely flat floor. The seats can rotate slightly to make getting in easier, and different layouts allow occupants to sit around a large table. Renault has not yet released images of the interior.

The dashboard is replaced by a curved OpenR Panorama display that is 1130mm wide and 110mm high. Renault says this screen will appear in future models at the upper end of its electric range.
Battery capacity, motor output, range and charging have not been announced.
The name combines the E from Renault’s E-Tech electric branding with a reference to interior space. Renault says the concept explores how its “cars for living” approach could evolve for electric family transport.
