Revoy launches EV ‘add-on’ for trucks
In a move similar to swappable batteries, US firm Revoy has launched Revoy EV which it describes as a “simple add-on for fleets that enables an easy transition to full EV without alterations to trucks or trailers”.
The company says its technology improves fuel efficiency to enable a more than 70%-90% reduction in emissions and saving firms “thousands of dollars in fuel per truck annually, inclusive of Revoy fees”.
Designed mainly for the US, Revoy EVs are fully charged and ready to go at stops along the route where they can be swapped for a charged unit in minutes, Revoy says.
