Fledgling American commercial electric vehicle maker Rivian, plans to build a second assembly plant that will also make battery cells, US media reports say.

Rivian’s existing factory is a former Mitsubishi plant in Normal, Illinois.

Rivian’s EV range will include a pick-up, a SUV, and a delivery van for Amazon which has ordered 100,000 with production planned to start later this year.
