Škoda NZ launches Elroq and refreshed Enyaq
Škoda New Zealand is introducing two new additions to its electric portfolio with the launch of the all-new Elroq and an updated Enyaq, both adopting the brand’s Modern Solid design language and upgraded technology.
Each model offers a claimed range exceeding 530 kilometres, with prices starting at $69,000 for the Elroq and $89,000 for the Enyaq Sportline.
Škoda Elroq

The Elroq is Škoda’s first fully electric model in the compact SUV segment and among the first vehicles to showcase the brand’s ‘Modern Solid’ design philosophy.
A glossy black “Tech-Deck Face” replaces the traditional grille, paired with a reinterpreted four-eyes lighting signature and an aerodynamic body delivering a drag coefficient of 0.26.
Two variants will be offered locally. The Elroq 60 uses a 63kWh (59kWh net) battery and a 150kW rear motor, providing more than 400km of WLTP range and a top speed of 160km/h. The Elroq Sportline 85 carries an 82kWh (77kWh net) battery and a 210kW rear motor producing up to 545Nm, enabling a top speed of 180km/h and a maximum range exceeding 530km.
Charging from 10% to 80% takes around 25 minutes for the Elroq 60 (up to 65kW) and about 28 minutes for the Sportline 85 (up to 135kW). All variants support AC charging at up to 11kW. The battery system shares its modular structure and thermal management with Škoda’s larger Enyaq range.
The interior features a simplified 13-inch infotainment system, new sustainable “Design Selections” using recycled materials, and a 470-litre boot that expands to 1,580 litres with the rear seats folded. Standard safety and assistance systems include up to nine airbags, Crew Protect Assist, Side Assist and, on the Sportline 85, Travel Assist.
Škoda Enyaq

Škoda has also updated the larger Enyaq SUV, describing the revision as the next chapter in one of Europe’s most successful electric models. The refreshed Enyaq adopts the same Modern Solid exterior treatment, including a slimmed-down Tech-Deck Face, new LED Light Band between the Matrix headlight units and black Škoda lettering on the bonnet.
New wheels, improved aero treatment and tighter sealing around the front end contribute to a drag coefficient as low as 0.245, helping deliver a WLTP range of more than 530km on selected models.
New Zealand will receive the Enyaq Sportline 85 with rear-wheel drive and the Enyaq RS 85 with dual-motor all-wheel drive. Both use an 82kWh-plus battery, with the Sportline producing 210kW and 545Nm. The RS version increases output to 250kW, reducing the 0–100km/h time to 5.4 seconds. Both variants have a top speed of 180km/h.
DC charging at up to 175kW (RS) enables the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in 26–28 minutes. All versions charge at up to 11kW on AC.
Standard equipment has been broadened to include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel with Škoda lettering, KESSY Advanced with Open-On-Approach and Walk-Away Locking, three-zone Climatronic, Side Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Traffic Jam Assist. A 5-inch digital cockpit and 13-inch central touchscreen are standard, with the Enyaq RS adding a head-up display with augmented reality.
Practical features include Škoda’s “Simply Clever” touches such as a QR code in the boot linking to instructional content, an integrated umbrella, multiple storage solutions and a hands-free Virtual Pedal tailgate.
The Sportline variant gains gloss-black exterior trim, 20-inch Vega alloy wheels and sports seats with a massage function. The RS adds a specific sport chassis lowered by 15mm at the front and 10mm at the rear, progressive steering, stronger front brakes and unique 21-inch Vision wheels. RS-specific styling features, including black exterior accents and a full-width rear reflector, further differentiate the flagship model.
