Tesla expanding New Zealand supercharger network
Tesla intends accelerating its New Zealand supercharging network installations during the next 18 months.
The first three already link key locations across the North Island on major highways.
An additional nine supercharger stations are planned to allow full connection from north to south on both islands.

Tesla says that creates access to tourist spots like the Queenstown ski slopes and also Bay of Plenty attractions.
The superchargers provide a half charge in 30 minutes, allowing for easy long-distance travel.
Supercharger network growth is complemented by an expansive destination charging network, utilising Tesla’s high-power wall connector that has been installed in over 75 destinations nationally, including hotels, resorts and shopping centres.

With the introduction of workplace charging, that convenience extends to those who live in an apartment, have no off-street parking or utilise a work fleet vehicle.
