Tesla Semi begins rolling off high-volume production line
Tesla says its first Semi truck has rolled off a high-volume production line, marking a step toward large-scale manufacturing of the electric heavy vehicle.
The company confirmed the milestone in a social media post, as it works toward ramping up production of several new products in 2026.
The Tesla Semi is an all-electric truck designed for long-haul freight, with the long-range variant offering up to around 500 miles (about 800km) of driving range on a single charge. Deliveries are expected to begin this year.
Tesla first unveiled the Semi in 2017 and has been working toward full production since then.

The company has previously indicated the Semi will be produced in Nevada, alongside broader plans to expand manufacturing capacity across its product line.
Tesla says volume production of its Cybercab robotaxi and Megapack 3 battery system is also scheduled to begin in 2026.
The update comes as the company plans to increase capital spending to more than US$20 billion this year, with investment directed toward factories, battery production and new vehicle programmes.
