Toyota reveals return to BEVs
Toyota has revealed the first of its modern battery electric vehicles, expected to launch in China next year.
The models shown initially are both electrified versions of the CH-R small SUV, called the CH-R and IZOA – different Chinese partners to Toyota use different names for models.
Details on the model are virtually non-existent, though you may pick up a few hints from the snazzy launch video

A plug-in Hybrid version of the Corolla was also launched at the Shanghai show, while an electric vehicle concept called the Rhombus was shown.
Toyota plans to roll out more than ten BEV models globally during the first half of the 2020s.
