Uber to install EV Hub

Uber has announced a suite of new product innovations, including ways they are pushing for a sustainable future via a virtual event hosted by chief executive Dara Khosrowshahi.

Both features will become available for drivers this winter.

Following Uber Australia’s announcement in July last year of a 50% reduction of service fee for driver-partners driving electric vehicles, the number of Uber driver-partners driving EVs on the platform has quadrupled, with Queensland leading the charge with the highest rate for Uber trips taken in an EV of any state.

Uber hopes the new charging map and EV platform will continue to boost the number of EV drivers on it.
