Updates for Model S
In the glare of the Model 3 launch, it is easy to forget it is the Model S that is still largely paying the bills at Tesla.
And not it has received, with little fanfare, a facelift.
Four years after entering production, the car gets a new front-end among other tweaks.
Getting rid of the previous grill representation, the S now looks like the Model X SUV it is built alongside.
Tesla is also adding a new HEPA air-filtration stem as an option.
The car can now charge quicker due to an uprating for the onboard unit to 48 Amps from 40 Amps.
There will be two new choices of interior finish – Dark Ash Wood Décor or Figured Ash Wood Décor.
Tesla has confirmed prices rise by US$1500 for all Model S.
