US EV demand ‘stable’

GM Chevrolet Silverado EV 2026

A J.D. Power US study says EV demand has been steady there.

“Despite the market volatility, EVs have found a solid ground for consumer consideration,” says J.D. Power EV executive director Brent Gruber.

The study suggests better education about EV benefits and meeting EV needs and wants at affordable prices.

The top concern among about 8164 consumers who intend to buy or lease a new vehicle in the next year (the survey done from January to April 2025) is charging station availability, with 52% of shoppers citing it as a reason for rejecting EVs.
