Waiuku EV charger smashed by vehicle
Counties Energy expects it could be several months before its Waiuku EV charger at 3 Kitchener Road, damaged by a vehicle on October 31, is replaced.
The Tritium 50kW charger’s unavailability has been posted on the OpenLoop app and anyone knowing EV drivers that use the Waiuku charging site should advise them, Counties Energy says.

It expects the charging site will be out of action for “a number of months at least”.
The Waiuku EV charger was among several in the Counties Energy area to get price changes from October 2 this year.
The company says some of its public EV chargers were free for the first three years to encourage EV uptake.
