Xpeng launches in UK, showcases smart mobility
Right-hand-drive EV flagship SUV Xpeng G6 is on sale in the United Kingdom from NZ$87,921 (39,990 pounds), deliveries starting March 2025.
About 20 dealerships are set to open in the UK this year through a partnership with International Motors Ltd (IML).
The China-headquartered global-orientated high-tech automotive company has announced its official entry to the UK and starts the pre-sale of its first right-hand drive model.
“Our launch in the UK, in partnership with International Motors Ltd (IML), marks a significant step in Xpeng’s European and global expansion,” says Xpeng president and vice-chairman Dr Brian Gu.
“We are excited to bring a new era of smarter, more sustainable mobility to the UK market and globally.
“With Xpeng’s cutting-edge proprietary technology – ranging from futuristic design and impressive range to ultra-fast charging – we are confident that our vehicles will resonate with UK consumers, offering exceptional quality, innovation, and an outstanding driving experience.”
“Together, we are committed to shaping the future of electric mobility by providing market-leading vehicles and services,” says IML UK managing director William Brown.
With AI-driven advancements, Xpeng says it aims to offer a more intuitive, safer, and highly customisable driving experience, enhancing convenience and personalisation for users.
At the launch event, Xpeng showcased an impressive lineup, offering a glimpse into the future of smart, mufti-dimensional mobility:
They include the Xpeng P7+, which it says is the world’s first artificial intelligence (AI) defined vehicle, the Xpeng G6 ultra smart coupe SUV, the Xpeng G9 ultra intelligent flagship SUV, the Xpeng X9 ultra smart large seven-seater, the electric vertical take-off and landing X2 flying car by Xpeng Aeroht, an Xpeng subsidiary.
The Xpeng G6 offers 800-volt supercharging and an extended driving range, meeting the evolving needs of UK and European consumers, says Xpeng.
