50 plus BEVs in Christchurch show

The Ora Good Cat, Tesla Model Y, BYD Atto 3, LDV EV T60 ute and electric offerings from about 20 car brands including Audi, BMW, Hyundai, Ford and Nissan will be among more than 50 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) on show at a two-day Christchurch expo.

The Take Charge Christchurch Expo has been organised by the Christchurch City Council at the city’s Te Pae Convention Centre on September 17 and 18, free to the public.

The show was earlier featured by EVs and Beyond, and included in our August magazine.

The expo also has battery electric vans, off-roaders and about 20 battery electric motorcycles and mopeds.

 It’s hailed as the biggest display of new BEVs in the country, with some EVs depending on shipping deliveries.

Prizes include the chance to go into a draw to use a BEV for a specified time.

The expo opens to the public from 10am to 5pm, Saturday September 17, and 9am to 5pm, Sunday September 18.
