Leading The Charge reaches the capital

It’s been a huge 24 hours for the Leading The Charge team.

The EV enthusiasts traversing the length of the country held a well-attended event in Blenheim, crossed Cook Strait and held events across the Wellington region.

Tour member Martin Kane, who leaves the drive in Wellington, says it has been a fantastic experience.

“It’s been great hanging out with the community that I have only ever known on Facebook.”

He has also found the public’s attitude towards EVs has changed since 2016 drive.

“The awareness and general enthusiasm has been so much more than a year ago.”

EV test drives will be a prominent part of the MTA 100 event in Wellington over the weekend, celebrating the Motor Trade Association’s centenary, before the tour heads north again.
