Faraday Future leases factory for EVs
A lease on a manufacturing facility in California to produce EVs has been signed by Faraday Future.
That’s not long after halting plans for a US$1 billion EV factory in Nevada.
The lease facility is in Hanford, about halfway between Los Angeles, where Faraday Future is based, and Silicon Valley, reports Electrek.

Formerly a tarp manufacturing facility of about 92,903 square metres, considerable work is needed to make it an EV production plant.
“We know there is a lot of work and risks ahead, but this event represents a major step forward for the company,” Faraday Future chief financial officer Stefan Krause says.
It still plans to bring out a large all-electric crossover next year, the FF 91.
The factory has tenants until November, so Faraday Future can’t fully develop the plant until 2018.
It’s expected to employ up to 1300 workers over three shifts once at full capacity.
