ChargeNet NZ wins Innovation in Energy Award
Winning the Innovation in Energy Award at the prestigious 2017 Deloitte Energy Excellence Awards has delighted the ChargeNet NZ team.
Founded in early 2015, ChargeNet NZ has travelled across New Zealand and internationally to advance EV uptake.
It’s grown a nationwide network to more than 50 fast charging stations, as well as developing a revolutionary software package for billing and managing this network.

The ChargeNet team credits its success to collaboration, passion and resilience, and says it’s exciting to see New Zealand charging into a cleaner and energy independent future by electrifying transport.
More than 4000 EVs are now on New Zealand roads, helping cut carbon emissions.
EV drivers also spend around 30 cents per ‘litre’ driving on locally sourced electricity if they charge overnight when the grid has excess capacity, the company says.
ChargeNet NZ is a foundation sponsor for evworld, the first industry specific EV conference in the southern hemisphere. It’s at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau, September 8-9.
