Importer REVs up own EV brand
A dedicated electric vehicle brand called REV has been introduced by importer Nichibo Japan Trading.
REV will operate in the consumer and fleet markets.
Apart from direct fleet sales, the REV brand could be extended for use by Nichibo-partnered used vehicle dealerships.
REV has already been involved in the Foodstuffs New Zealand project to bring 28 Nissan e-NV200 electric delivery vans from the United Kingdom, supported by an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority low emission vehicles contestable fund grant.
It helped streamline the process, REV supplying compliance and back-up services.
It’s now offering a dedicated EV warranty policy.
Nichibo says it’s firmly committed to the growth of EVs here.
“To have put about 25% of New Zealand’s total number of EVs (including PHEVs) on the road is an achievement our entire organisation is extremely proud of,” Nichibo managing director Robert Young says.
