EVs feature at Big Boys Toys
Electric vehicles join their more conventional counterparts at the Big Boys Toys show in Auckland on November 10-12.
Tesla features, along with The Better NZ Trust’s Leading the Charge display with visitors able to drive any of six different EVs at the ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane.
An electric bike which rides across water, the Manta 5 hydrofoil bike, will be launched at the show, plus there’s a huge array of road electric bikes, such as the Rayvolt.

Five halls are packed with the latest products and services, allowing visitors to see, try and buy, event director Dean Wilson says.
The Driven Hall automotive show features classic cars to super cars, motorcycles to marine craft and the best from Ferrari, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, SRT, RAM and more.
This year’s 2017 super car is the LaFerrari Aperta, one of only 200 in the world.
The Automania Showcase has an array of vehicles ranging from race cars to street cars, D1NZ to super saloons, and exotics to off-roaders.
The Garage at Big Boys Toys has the Best of Repco Beach Hop, interactive displays, and an array of tools.
The CCNZ Construction Zone showcases machinery from the construction industry in an interactive format, and includes the Auckland Excavator Operator Championships.
The Milwaukee Action Arena has an extreme sports show each day, and a Music Zone is now included in the show.
More than 35,000 people are expected at Big Boys Toys from November 10-12, 10am to 6pm.
