Tesla truck launch delayed again

Tesla’s electric truck is now likely to be launched on-November 16.

Unveiling of the Tesla Semi had been first expected in September, then delayed until late October.

Now Tesla chief executive Elon Musk says it will be revealed on November 16 as the company diverts resources to fix Model 3 sedan production bottlenecks and increase battery production for hurricane hit Puerto Rico’s power supply.

Musk says on Twitter than the semi’s specs are better than anything he’s seen reported so far, but that “other needs are greater right now”.

The battery-powered truck is expected to compete with conventional diesels.
